The Time Reference Facility is the demonstrator element that generates, manages and provides the reference time scale and reference time products used by the Core and Time Services.
The Time Reference Facility is intended as an ensemble of metrological measuring and informatics equipment to be interfaced with external reference Time Scale and entities, allowing to access to all required reference products to be disseminated to the Core Infrastructure and Time Service components.
The main functions of this facility are:
Distribution of the Date and Time information required to synchronize the overall demonstrator components.
Dissemination of reference time scale through 1PPS and 10Mhz physical signals provision.
Generation of geodetic GNSS measurements thanks to calibrated GRx equipment.
Collection of logical products from external reference institutes.
